Sightings in SoCal

Griffith Observatory

I shot this looking down on Hollywood, from the Griffith Observatory. I personally like visiting Griffith more for its art deco style than for the star-gazing.

I hate visiting the Griffith on busy days, because its parking lot is so full that you wind up having to park on the road winding down the hill. In this shot I took from the observatory, you can see the road in the middle of the shot there, with all the cars parked down that road. People had to park even lower down the road than that.
You can see the Hollywood sign in the far hill there. The sky was becoming overcast from the misty clouds rolling in from the ocean as evening drew near, making for a cold evening by the time we left.

Singer sewing machine at the Skirball Center, Los Angeles, Ca

I don’t sew, but it would be cool to have one of these.

This is the 1/3 scale of the Statue of Liberty torch in the museum at the Skirball.

While the photo below makes me cringe at the thought of ruining a good typewriter to house a plant, this is a pretty cool article to peruse. If you like books and plants, check it out HERE.
