There was once a Molle on our local auction site. It went quite high!
I think it was designed by a typewriter repairman who wanted a machine which was easier to take apart – at least that’s what I remember.
Greetings,
I’ve managed to land here on your site and find it fascinating. I appreciate your pipe-smoking robot in the header and your posts. We too are a home-schooling family and as always I’m happy to find others. I’ve 1942 and 1965 Smith Corona typewriters that I just typed a letter to a friend on today (1942 model). There’s nothing like the Clickity Clackity of the keystrokes. It reminds me of my childhood and all of the reports I had to type using my dear Mother’s old Underwood. My best to you.
Hey, thanks for visiting! I’m glad you enjoy the blog. I don’t have as much time as I’d like to post, but that’s just life. So are you a pipe-smoker as well? (Never mind. I did a quick jump to your blog and noticed you were. I’ll go back and check it out some more. Looks very cool!)
wow those are awesome! I’ve seen pics of those brands before but never seen either in the wild.
Yeah, this is the first time I’ve encountered anything like these myself.

Neat!
I have examples of both in my collection and have written a little about them in the “typewriter spotlights” section of The Classic Typewriter Page:

As always, your examples are in great shape. Were you just lucky, or did you have to do major cleaning/repair on them?
