Those stores are so expensive! I hear they have some real awesome set-ups, though. My wife is an interior designer, and some of the girls she went to college with have ended up working for them, making chairs out of radiators and what have you.
Neat spotting!
Yep, that’s a KMM just like the one I have at arm’s length right here. It’s a shame to see one hogtied; they are great writing machines. I wrote the greater part of my 2010 NaNoWriMo on mine.
back in college, one of my friends worked there and she shared with me the markup on the clothes and it was astronomical – cant remember what but surely it was over 50%
maybe once theyre done with their display once the season is over, the kmm shows up on etsy for $400
I can’t imagine that they’d spend anything like that for the machine in the first place just for decoration, but then again, I’m not sure what their budget is for these kinds of displays.

Yeah, I’ve seen some cool stuff in there before (not counting the clothes).

So the ribbon around the type bars is common for displays like this? It’s the first time I’ve ever seen that.
Anthopologie – expensive super trendy ass store

I’m glad you attempted to relieve that Royal’s suffering.
